Instructions

Before you start this application, please visit our Visiting (Non-Matriculated) Students website to review the program requirements and responsibilities. If you are using a tuition waiver, applying through Outreach and Continuing Education, or are a current high school student or an international applicant, there may be additional requirements and guidelines that will be communicated throughout the application and registration process.

Please submit your application three weeks prior to the start of the quarter to allow for processing time. Applications are not accepted after the first week of the quarter. After the application is processed you will receive further information regarding registration, deadlines, and tuition. Western Washington University reserves the right to deny admission to any applicant. Visiting student status is granted for one term only and a new application must be submitted each term you intend to register for a course.

Do you plan to attend a class with an Outreach and Continuing Education (OCE) program? OCE programs are available in Bremerton, Distance Learning (Human Services only), Everett, Kirkland, Poulsbo, Port Angeles, and Renton. There is also one OCE program on the Bellingham campus (Communication Sciences and Disorders, or also known as the new Speech, Language and Hearing Science Certificate).

International students who have never attended Western must have a current U.S. visa status which allows them to study or be formally admitted to a degree program. Please verify that you will meet the following requirements at the start of the quarter for which you currently are applying. This information will be used to determine your eligibility to pay in-state (resident) tuition and fees.
